For Twitch’s “GlitchCon” Event, we wanted to engage with the Twitch audience in a way that had never been done to create a one of a kind real time collaborative experience.
Working closely with the brilliant minds at Warp World and CodeHQ, we created a live experience in which viewers could use an interactive extension to design and build a custom video game, and then trigger events and effects in the game in real time, while select Twitch creators played it live on stream.
Viewers earned '“nuts” by watching and chatting, and could spend those nuts to spawn items, powerups, an enemies into the streamers live play session, as well as change and manipulate the level itself in real time. The result was a highly unique and delightfully chaotic game experience for each player as it was affected live by the collective actions of the viewers!
